As a Professional Services Application Engineer, you will be part of a team that is engaged in custom software development, integration, and customization projects for CRM implementaitons. In addition from time to time you will assist customers in the configuration of CRM applications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop custom scripts
- Create customize reports
- Integrate with backend and desktop business applications
- Front and back end code customizations using PHP, .NET, XML, and HTML, and JavaScript
- Database input via direct SQL commands and functions
- Complete documentation based on the work performed on the project
- Complete ad-hoc projects as directed by the Regional Services Directors in conjunction with immediate line management
- Complete customization and integration work
- Conduct custom product support training for customers and staff as required
- Consult with customers on design, implementation, and maintenance of custom CRM products
- Work with Development and Hosting to ensure custom programming requests are reasonable and viable and will not conflict with development of base product functionality or cause issues within the hosted environment
- Modularize Professional Services custom code wherever possible to reduce cost of sale and implementation
- Ensure all Professional Services custom programming products are clearly documented and tracked within the CRM applications to ensure a clear audit trail
- Assist in the production of project scopes, including research and development tasks and proving functionality or capability
Essential Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Background
- 2 + years working in a development or coding position
- Ability to troubleshoot technical problems both on-site and remotely
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Combination of business experience, technical skills, and a willingness to ‘roll up your sleeves’ and get involved in project details
- Team player who will work within the company to continue improving the way we serve our customers
- Excellent communication skills, including written, and verbal skills
- Ability to travel up to 25%
- Background in application development or professional services development in back office applications
- Understanding or experience in CRM applications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- Proficient in two or more of the following:
- PHP

- Visual Basic
- ASP
- C, C++, C#/.NET Framework 2.0
- Web services
- Working knowledge of the following:
